If there is sufficient interest, we may explore the feasibility of making "Reputation is a Fragile Thing - The Story of Cheap Trick" available as an e-book. The publisher advises that we'd need at least 100 people to express a genuine interest in this before we could consider doing it. I have no idea at this stage how much it would cost to purchase, I'm afraid, and it's most likely it would just be the text of the original book rather than an updated version. If you can give me an indication of likely interest, I'd be grateful.
an e-book might just kindle some enthusiasm Big Grin
Updated version and I'm in. Tongue
I would definitely buy an updated version. Even though I have an original signed by the author and band, I might even buy an original text ebook if the price was reasonable.
Why the f*ck would someone want an original version before an updated version?
Truly bonkers. Confused

I'm trying to establish if there is any demand for an e-book version of the original. At this stage, it's unlikely the book will be updated. If it was, I'm sure you're right, people would obviously prefer the updated version.

Kickstarter. Not trying to be a pain in the a$$, Mike. I just think there's enough interest here to give it a look. Also check this out: http://www.blurb.com. Might be another option.
As I don't have a device to read e-books I would not be interested. I would be in a physical copy, preferably updated.
the not interested choice was for a laugh, right?
btw... I almost never go to the polls section of the board and assume many others don't either, so this can't be an official count. might wanna advertise this poll on other sections.
228 views.... 23 votes! Nuff said. Confused Not going to happen I'm afraid! Many thanks to those who took the trouble. If anyone else wants to borrow a copy, drop me a line.

I don't get that either Michael,it's the same in most threads though,no wonder this board is dying, badly needs updating with the option to post photos like Facebook (and other sites) and a few other things to bring it into the 21st century.

Thank you for trying though.
I just now came across this thread. I would be interested in an ebook! Maybe this could be posted on Facebook, which seems to be getting a bigger audience at the moment. Also, you may want to explain more of what RIAFT is. All I know is it's a CT biography and that it's unofficial?

Yes thanks Mike..........
Regina you have a point...There are a little over 5,600 hundred members on the Messageboard (and I am not sure how many are truly active) and CT's FB site grew from 156,000 to close to 338,000 in two years. I too think it would be interesting to post the question on FB to see how many "Likes" you get. Mike, I think you would see a lot more interest there. Just a thought! I know I'd love to read the book!!! Smile
