looks like there is a new boxset out or coming out, complete epic catalog remastered---

"Thick man of Europe"

not a bad price either.
Anyone know if this just a repackage of the remasters, or a new remaster?

Vic Anesini did all the new remastering
Interesting. Talk about re-releases.

Let me see-We have original "Budokan" on CD, "Budokan-Complete on CD" in 1998, "Complete" again included on the Budokan DVD, and now "Complete" once again.
Should we call Guinness for the record number of releases for one album on CD? Or is there another group that has gone to the well this many times? I know there are some KISS die hards out there so who has the max number of releases of the same live album?
Would seem they won't be releasing the remaining albums in the expanded editions. Really wanted some bonus '80's stuff. Sad

i concur about the bonus tracks .
i am though thrilled about the rest of the remasters especially Lap Of Luxury & Busted both in bad need of a remaster Smile
I'd love someone to review if there is any sound difference in these discs. I wasnit overly thrilled with the current remasters. Over the years, the sound quality of the last batch of remasters has been discussed, with some really great reviews posted by members.

Huh, huh. I said members.
I bet the band probably has nothing to do with this, just Epic's way of making some $$ off the name.
I got the box set last night. It has all the epic albums in the nice cardboard sleeves, so it saves a lot of space over the plastic jewel cases. It doesn't have any bonus tracks, although it does include the 16 track version of Next Position Please. I listened to Standing on the Edge and Next Position Please last night and wasn't really impressed with the remastering. It's nice to have all the albums in a smaller size package but I'm not too impressed.
Nazlith, thanks for the mini-review. I figured this is what it would be. Still, a cool way to get the epic LPs on CD for folks like me who do not have all of them in that format. Something to consider.
Are these all CD's? Also, what is that book that is included, the one with the black and white early photo? Is that a separate booklet of info and pictures or was it an insert in on the CD jackets?
would like more details cause i've been considering buying this set .
$100 in these times isn't something i can just blow easily .
what was the problem with the remasters in your opinion ?
