Hey, Thanks for a link. This is a Great 20 minute set and it has a whole bunch of memorilbia that you can get. Thanks!!
i'm pretty sure this was on the king bisquit flower hour back in the day. i taped it from the radio and listened to it religiously. i think the date was actually 9/22/78, and in a newsletter a few years ago i thought there was a mention that the kbfh would be releasing this one at some point. never came out, to my knowledge. hope it will----definitely in my favorite period.
It was KBFH. The broadcast date was Nov. 19, 1978, but if my memory serves me correctly it was the Bottom Line show (June 12, 1978).
Awesome!
It is. Yesterday I got out my tape to see how well it's held up, and it's still in pretty good shape. The band sounded great, too. Still...the tape itself is so old, maybe it's time to get it converted to a CD-rom. Smile

I had a cassette from a 60 minute radio broadcast from 1979 or 1980 - Cheap Trick Live At The El Mocambo in 1977.
In 2005, I finally connected my cassette to my PC and started transfering the cassette to the hard drive. Then, I burned to a CD.
What's so great about this show is "Loser". Too bad it never ended up on any album.
A present co-worker, who I knew is a CT fan, I made him a copy, and he told me he was at that show and CT played four 45 minute sets. Lots of tunes.
Rick even poked a hole into the ceiling with his guitar and left it hanging, grabbed another guitar and kept on playing.

Sounds familiar, I think I've got that one too. Plus another show they opened for The Runaways. It's been a while since I've gone through my tapes so I'll have to check. Anything I didn't tape myself is probably pretty bad quality, though. Still...they're worth having those shows. Smile
Who were they opening for...
The King Biscuit broadcast was a headlining show. The El Mocambo...I'm clueless. Maybe someone else can shed some light.
Hope this isn't too off topic but can anyone confirm the date of the elmocambo radio broadcast?
I thought it was from 1977 but have no additional info aside from that.

I've been trying to find out what album this was recorded for with no luck.

Was it the debut or In Color?
