Full Version: Is the Deluxe edition of the new album more of a 'limited edition'?

I ordered the Deluxe Edition (who wouldn't?) through Pledge in the vinyl format (already have the digital copy) but was curious to see how rare or common it was in the stores so I checked out Barnes & Noble. They had the Standard edition on compact disc. I wonder if the Deluxe edition is more rare. Will the Deluxe edition be phased out at some point? How available is it at retailers (not online)?

Incidentally, the band should've just issued the album as the full 13-song version as the regular, standard edition- because the 3 extra songs should be heard by all.

Other than online I actually haven't seen a standard edition anywhere. If the Deluxe won't be phased out at some point the idea of both seems a little pointless really.

Same here.  Everywhere I have seen physical copy is deluxe version which I bet was made in 10 times the quantities.  BTW, the 10 tracks on spotify are 35 minutes!!!!

I almost think Deluxe is to justify an extra 3 bucks (well worth it) and get a few more sales when the few sad sacks realize there is another, much better version.

Thing is, with me at least, the placement of those three songs works perfect.  Hard ballsy 10 songs and then a nice 3 set closing.
