Hey Folks,

To have a little bit of fun with getting excited for the new CT album, I thought I'd post one thread a week in this March Madness to get to April!  Please keep in mind, that this is all just meant to be dumb fun!

Some of you may have noticed that some Cheap Trick songs directly reference or allude to other Cheap Trick songs/albums...so let's call 'em out!

If you wanna play along, the only rule (besides being respectful!) is:

*Once you've posted about ONE song referencing another song/album, you can't post again unless someone else has taken a turn with replying to this thread with a (hopefully) legitimate, other song that references another song/album.  This way, we can get as many people as possible involved and playing along.

Okay...that said, I'll start the ball rolling...

In the song "The Name of the Game" from The Doctor---there's a lyric "Remember 'Surrender' ...remember the verse!"  *(the verse has to be "We're all-all right")* Bottom line:  in the song "The Name Of The Game" --they mention/refer to the song, "Surrender".

There's more, folks!  Tag!  Someone else is it!  Challenge accepted?  Cool
How Are You from Heaven Tonight referencing IWYTWM:

"I said i want you
I want you, need you, love you
Want you to want me
Remember?"
NICE! Well played, Sir!
Big Eyes:
It's not the way you look, no
It's not the way you walk...
...It's not the color of your hair.

Love's Got a Hold on Me:
It's not the way you look, the way you walk, or the color of your hair

Nice thread Smile
Well done, Andrea! I've created a list of the ones I've found AND I missed this one! It slipped right by me!
beginning of Voices, references many songs
Crazy! And cool! I didn't know that, either!

Did anyone note which ones are mentioned?

Daddy should have stayed in High School is one of the songs mentioned on an early version of voices but I don't think it's on the Dream Police version.

There is a reference to it on I love you honey, but I hate your friends from All Shook up.

High Priest of Rhythmic Noise:

You look strange, that's what I like
You look strange like me
Fit to be tied, a little bedtime story
Next position please
AWESOME! I was hoping someone would find the "Next Position Please" in "High Priest of Rhythmic Noise"!

And there's more...
Loser and Oh Caroline both have the line:

"Can you feel my heart strings, they're on fire"
I looooove it! Why waste a good line? NICE.
