I've never seen it before. You would think after 30+ years, it would be in a picture SOMEWHERE.
It was once owned by Rick.

How would someone confirm that? Just curious…. Big Grin
Rick talks about Tundra Music in TO and that he has shopped there in the past. I have it on a bootleg somewhere.

Kind of surprised Rick would allow this. I could see a "normal guitar" but a Rick custom Hamer is pretty special. I'm sure over the years he hasn't let too many of these escape his ownership.

I agree. If it's real, they are not doing a very good job proving the fact Rick owned it. Strange…..

I've been to Tundra Music in Toronto. When I saw they had a 12-string bass for sale, maybe 6 years ago, the owner says he finds guitars for Rick.
With this guitar, Is it really a Hamer ? I never seen one Tele shaped before (I could be wrong). Could have been custom made, and Rick didn't like it or how it sounded. Or someone know how to make a guitar with that detail, to make it look authentic
Or, Rick is still using that Tele he got from Jeff Beck and has no need for this one. Tongue

I'm certainly no expert, but I have an opinion. The face looks a lot like Uncle Dick's face, except for the really square nose and mouth features.
Ask the seller, or fly to Canada to check it out!

Yep, I did. Other than "I know Rick and I traded him for this guitar"….that's pretty much what you get. To be honest, the provenance isn't there for a $20k investment. The owner can provide you a picture of he and Rick standing with the guitar. But that doesn't necessarily mean Rick "owned it" or even had it built for him by Hamer as stated in the ad. If it truly is a Rick owned/custom made guitar, sad the provenance isn't there to back it up. And, the Ricky autograph isn't worth the $20k. Would be an incredible investment for someone. JMHO….. For a $20k asking price, a skilled person could easily make a fake…

What more provenance could one possibly need after I told you he did once own it? Big Grin
